Richard & Sereena were married at the stunning Broyle Place in Lewes, East Sussex. As soon as we arrived on the day we were both struck at how super chilled everyone was. A number of friends and family had dual roles to play from one of the ushers as hairstylist to mother of the bride in charge of flowers; brother in charge of music to family and friends mucking in and setting up the marquee - everyone was merrily busying themselves with their part to play in this amazing day! As photographers we are lucky enough to witness some really precious moments and there was no shortage of these here. Some of those that really stuck in my mind from this wonderful day were Sereena's mum getting emotional at the different stages of her daughter getting ready then her beaming with joy when she was in her dress; Sereena having butterflies in her tummy at the excitement of what was just about to happen; Richard's best men and ushers constantly making sure everything was perfect, running to schedule and that everyone was happy; Sereena's Dad's look of pride when his daughter came down the stairs all ready to walk arm in arm with him down the aisle; Richard nervously practising his vows in front of his groomsmen. I also loved how present and inclusive everyone was, it was how every wedding should be - a real union of two lives and families. It was a real pleasure to be surrounded by this lovely bunch of people.
These guys certainly had luck on their side with the weather. It stayed dry the whole time we needed to be outside and only when we had to be inside for the meal and speeches did the heavens open. Richard and Sereena were then presented with the most amazing sunset and rainbow before it poured down again while everyone was inside dancing their little socks off.
